Kybella
FDA approved in 2015. This is an injectable treatment that destroys fat cells. Kybella is made from synthetic deoxycholic acid, which is a naturally occurring molecule found in the body that breaks down fat. When injected, Kybella immediately starts destroying the cells that store fat. This triggers the body’s natural healing process to begin, which results in the cells being absorbed by the body. Within four to six weeks, a noticeable reduction in fat should begin to become visible.
