Wrinkle Reducers

Wrinkle Reducers (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin) vs. Fillers

All injectable treatments are aimed to reduce the visibility of wrinkles in the face. Botox and fillers work differently to achieve this goal. Wrinkles can be caused by the natural aging process, reduction in collagen and structure in the skin, or they can be caused by muscle movement under the skin. Botox procedures are performed to prevent and/or improve frowns and wrinkles on your face by softening muscle strength. Fillers are used to improve facial appearance, specifically lines, creases, wrinkles and hollowness that are present all of the time; whether you are moving your muscles or not.

Botox (onabotulinumtoxinA)

FDA approved neuromodulator injected to temporarily improve moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines. Results are seen as fast as 3 days, full results in 2 weeks and last 3-4 months.

Dysport (abobotulinumtoxinA)

Dysport is similar to Botox with a different protein formula. FDA approved neuromodulator injected to temporarily improve moderate to severe frown lines.

Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA)

Xeomin is also similar to Botox, but has no additives. FDA approved for injection to frown lines. Some people find they become less responsive to Botox brand over time and Xeomin can be a great alternative to try.
